1.) Ultimate Gator Car Wash Playset – This playset can be difficult to find, but I would consider the Ultimate Gator Car Wash Playset the biggest and best track to start your Color Shifters collection with.
Most people will start playing with this track by loading the water tower with warm water and the bottom tank with cold water to activate all of the color shifting fun. There is a little knob on the water tower that you can twist to get water into a tank. Once the water is setup, you get to start having fun with the rest of the track.
This track includes a really cool hand-crank elevator. Load your car and crank it up to the top. This takes the car to that little tank to change colors – and then it goes down the ramps into some fun car wash features – and there are even more surprises along the way.
Like we said, this track is the biggest and most fun for children just starting their Hot Wheels Color Shifters collection – and this track can be incorporated with all those other tracks.
2.) Hot Wheels Color Shifters Color Splash Science Lab Playset – This Hot Wheels Color Shifters Color Splash Science Lap Playset is one of the really unique Hot Wheels Tracks – and one that should be an instant hit with kids.
The unique design starts with the 3-different color changing zones it has. There are two dunk tanks that you can load up with water and a giant green beaker that basically creates a shower area! You can be switching the colors of your color changer car back and forth – bring a ton of color changing fun to any Hot Wheels adventure.
The track on this set is a lot of fun as well. It includes a launcher to get your car going, some great twists and turns, plus some trap doors – basically all the fun features you would want in a Hot Wheels Track. It does also come with one color shifting car – and you will get instant gratification trying to escape from the Mad Scientist.
3.) Hot Wheels Color Shifters Sharkport Showdown – This Hot Wheels Color Shifters Sharkport Showdown should bring some instant fun to playtime. It starts with a small track that you drive your car up and onto a little ramp. This ramp is on an elevator and you can lift it up and race down a taller track trying to avoid the giant shark – or you can take the elevator down into a dunk tank, which when filled with water will change the color of your color shifter car.
The shark is really cool and can capture your car – and you can use another car to knock the captured car lose from the shark’s mouth. At the bottom of the track is another water tank that can change your car back to its normal color. Normally, you will fill the first tank with ice water, and the second tank with warm water to change your color shifters back to its standard color.
This is just a really fun racetrack specifically designed for color changers – but can still be used with normal Hot Wheels Racers (they just don’t have the fun experience of changing colors once they hit those dunk tanks).
The set does come with one color shifter Hot Wheels Car as well!
4.) Hot Wheels City Color Changing Robot Shark Playset – Are you looking for another Shark themed Hot Wheels Color Changing Track? If so, check out this Hot Wheels City Color Changing Robot Shark Playset. This is one of the simplest color changing tracks – and is very affordable as well.
The track design is basically a loop-to-loop setup. The beginning of the track has a little boat launcher that will launch your Hot Wheels car up a ramp and thru the loop-to-loop part. In the middle of this track is a giant robot shark that is waiting to eat your car!
The cool thing about this track is that if you don’t successfully land the loop-to-loop jump and the robot shark gets your car, it goes to the shark belly which can be loaded with water. This will give you that color changing fun kids want!
The track set will come with one color changing car – and it can be connected to all the other Color Shifter Tracks or Hot Wheel City Tracks.
5.) Hot Wheels City Mega Car Wash – A carwash seems like a good theme for a color changing track – which is why we got the Hot Wheels City Mega Car Wash on this list! I would also say this is the most traditional, recognizable car wash theme since it doesn’t have any crazy mad scientists or sharks trying to eat your car!
I think kids will be pleasantly surprised at the features of this track set. It comes with things like an automated conveyer belt, a squeeze bottle that lets you squeeze warm water onto your car, and even a dunk tank at the end to get that color changing technology going.
This track set doesn’t have all the loop-to-loop features and ramps that some of these other tracks have but has a great focus on the color-changing technology and carwash theme that will make it a great choice for children!
